WELLSVILLE, N.Y. — A tragic ATV accident in the Town of Wellsville claimed the lives of a mother and her young daughter on Thursday, August 6, 2026, according to the New York State Police.
Authorities identified the victims as Ashley R. Robichaud, 38, and her 6-year-old daughter, Emersyn E. Robichaud. Investigators said Ashley was operating an all-terrain vehicle through a pasture with her two young children when the ATV overturned.
Ashley and Emersyn suffered fatal injuries in the crash and were pronounced deceased. A third passenger, Ashley’s 3-year-old child, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Golisano Children’s Hospital for medical treatment.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation as authorities work to determine the events leading up to the rollover.
